The accompanying page of text was referenced by the physician and herbalist in applying the plant for treatment. The illustrations are mainly by Pierre Turpin (1775-1840). Turpin, along with Pierre Redoute, are acknowledged as the most accomplished of the French botanical artists in the early 1800s. $65 |
