Very rare folding pocket map of the World published by J. H. Colton, for Henry Bill. Possibly issued in Henry Bill’s History of the World. Map is nicely colored with age toning to paper. With folds as issued. Atlantic Telegraph Line highlighted on map, as this was the most significant world event at the time of publication. Illustrates the routes traveled by important explorers including Cook, Vancouver, Perouse, the U.S. Ship Vincennes, and others. Surrounded with an ornate decorative border.
